Match Report: vs Chislehurst & West Kent

Coming off the back of a humbling defeat to Sherwood last week, the Ramblas headed to Chislehurst to get back to, if not winning ways, then at least getting the spirit back in the squad. But as with last year’s game versus the hosts, Chislehurst very own micro-climate ensured that it was another chilly day for players and fans alike.

Match Report: vs Sherwood

In what is fast becoming a character building season, the Ramblas returned home to take on Sherwood, aiming to get their season kick started. And with glorious weather and a much hyped Danks tea, the Ramblas were ready for action.

Match Report: vs Hadlow

Following last week’s win against Chevening, the Ramblas headed to Hadlow keen to pick up where they left off. And with such an idyllic setting, the visitors were ready for battle.

Match Report: vs Chevening Amblers

The storm clouds disappeared, both literally and metaphorically, as the Ramblas took to the field on Sunday, eager to move on from last week’s defeat to Wrotham. Back on home soil and facing old foes Chevening, the hosts knew today was a chance to right a few wrongs.

Match Report: vs Wrotham St. George’s

As the sun beat down on an idyllic setting for a game of cricket, the Ramblas visited Wrotham St George’s, hoping to get the monkey of their back and claim the first win of a tough 2018 campaign.

Match Report: vs Petts Wood

After last week’s agonising defeat to London City, the Ramblas were hoping to regroup and they hosted old rivals Petts Wood. And despite the rain, and lack of functioning covers, doing their best to curtail their plans, the sun came out and it was game on.

Match Report: vs London City

The weather came out in full force for the first Ramblas home game of the 2018 season, clearly realising it needed to up its game after last week’s debacle. And with a earlier start time of 11am, the team had even more time to soak up the Bank Holiday sun.

Match Report: vs Sidcup

The previous week’s sun kissed affair seemed a lifetime ago when the Ramblas rocked up to Sidcup to be greeted with arctic conditions.

Match Report: vs Cudham Wyse

Despite the appalling weather that has descended upon the country for most of 2018, a combination of a heatwave and hard work from our hosts’ groundsman ensured the Ramblas could get the season started on time.

If you fancy flexing your grey matter, here’s this year’s hastily arranged set of questions (the score to beat is 22)… PICTURE ROUND: GENERAL KNOWLEDGE Which planet was originally named…

On a glorious bank holiday in Sevenoaks, the Ramblas claimed their 12th of the season in a 49 run victory despite a spirited performance from the seven men of Brasted Invicta.

Match Report: vs Wrotham St George

In another gripping contest at Fortress Ex-Blues, an Alex Danks century saw the ten man Ramblas claim their 11th win of season against Wrotham St George. The win also saw the hosts finish the season with a 7-1 home record as they finish the season with two away games.

Match Report: vs London City

It was a day of typically high drama at Ex-Blues on Sunday, as Kent Ramblas got the better of London City at the third time of asking to seal an impressive win on a day that saw plenty of landmarks reached and records broken. Ahead of the game, there were some personal milestones to acknowledge,…

Match Report: vs Battersea Ironsides

The final of three successive away games brought with it an impressive victory for the Kent Ramblas, as they overcame a tough Battersea Ironsides team in a hastily arranged replacement fixture. However, the record-equalling ninth win of the season was not a straightforward one, as the Ramblas stumbled midway through their batting and failed to…

Match Report: vs Wickham Park CC

It was a day of toil and trouble for the Kent Ramblas as they suffered a chastening defeat at the hands of neighbours Wickham Park. Giddy from a rare win at the toss, Michael Cooper had little choice but to put the hosts into bat, with a damp pitch only going to get drier and,…

Match Report: vs Petts Wood

In what has become the Ramblas biggest derby match, the team head to Petts Wood looking to do the double over their rivals, as well as make amends for their last performance at the Willet Recreation Ground.

Match Report: vs Royal Challengers CC

It sounds like something Sherlock Holmes might have fun trying to solve, but if a cricket team arranges three games yet those three games never take place… does that cricket team really exist? That’s the question the Kent Ramblas were left contemplating as they had to find a last-minute replacement for their initially intended opponents…
